Our very first PA
Treasure Hunt
and Start-of-Year BBQ

September 2022

We had over 150 families and friends join the fun at our inaugural Treasure Hunt and BBQ. What a brilliant start to the year!

30 teams of intrepid Treasure Hunters braved the wilds of Clapham Common intent on finding riches. An intensely competitive race ensued to de-code a series of clues and undertake many challenges of intellect and agility along the way.

Massive congratulations to the:

Rizwani family

They played a blinder and charmed the pirate guard to discover the secret hoard.
Worthy winners indeed!

The rest of the teams’ efforts did not go unrewarded and everyone went home with pockets bulging with edible loot! Our very own (not so) fierce pirate Paige added a brilliant touch of theatre to the final dash for the treasure.

Following the exertions of the Treasure Hunt, there was a delicious BBQ on offer back at school and we were joined by around 50 more people who were eager to tuck into the fantastic meal of burgers, sausages, halloumi burgers, salads and homemade desserts. The PA bar team were standing by with a range of thirst-quenchers too.

Massive thanks to Daylan Drummond for brilliantly designing, catering and running the barbeque along with his team of Freddie, Sam, Phoebe, Tanya and David. This was a new team and it was fantastic to see them step up and take the reins.

The rest of the organising and planning was done amazingly as always by the PA Committee team. Thanks, guys - you rock!

We need more helpers to continue to run great events like this. If you’d like to help out with our next event, please register your interest here. We’re always on the look out for people who have ideas for new events and can help get these off the ground, too!
